Statement on Human Health
We, the members of Our Lord's Bible Church (est. 2011) offer this statement of our beliefs and practices regarding human health. According to the Holy Bible, the Scriptures, as recorded in the King James Bible, we affirm and declare the following:
1. Statement on Human Health
1.1. We believe God created man on the 6th day of creation from the dust of the earth (Gen. 2:7).
1.2. We believe God breathed the breath of life into the human body (Gen. 2:7). Therefore, human breathing is a direct connection with the Creator and should not be restricted.
1.3. We believe God created the human body to be healthy as indicated by God’s command to eat fruit and seeds (Gen. 1:29, 2:16).
1.4. We believe after the Fall, mankind was allowed to eat animal flesh (Gen. 9:3).
1.5. We believe God created man(kind) to work (Gen. 2:15); after the Fall, this work became a necessity, for our “sake” (Gen. 3:17).
1.6. We believe God healed men’s diseases and infirmities in the Old Testament whether directly and immediately (e.g. Isa. 38:1-8) or through prophets (e.g. 1 Ki. 17:17-24, 2 Ki. 4:18-37). In the New Testament His Son, Jesus Christ, during His earthly ministry healed people of their sicknesses (Joh. 4:46-54, Mat. 8:5-13, 14-17, Mk. 7:31-37). As such, God is just as able to do it today.
1.7. We believe that since Jesus Christ healed multitudes of people during His earthly ministry (Mat. 8:16, 12:15, 14:14, 15:29-31, 19:2; Mark. 3:10, 6:56; Lk. 4:40, 6:19, 9:11) that it is His desire that we live in good health.
1.8. We believe God has provided natural means by which we may be healed of our infirmities (e.g. fruit and seeds, Gen. 1:29, 2:16; oil and a little wine, 1 Tim. 5:23; a merry heart, Prov. 15:13, 17:22).
1.9. We believe that since God is the Author and Designer of all creation (Gen. 1, Ex. 20:20) and knows our human systems intimately, He has full knowledge, wisdom, understanding, and insight on the subject of human health. As such He should be the first Person we consult for physical maladies except when acute medical emergencies preclude such time for consultation.
1.10. We believe that since God is the Author and Designer of all creation (Gen. 1, Ex. 20:20), His design of mankind cannot be improved upon. Therefore, any attempt by man to improve upon God’s creation (e.g. altering human DNA), is a direct attempt to usurp God—the sin of Lucifer (Isa. 14:14) which led to his fall.
2. Statement on Medical Treatments
2.1. We believe it is God’s will that His people live in good health (3 Joh. 2).
2.2. We believe the Lord can and still does perform inexplicable healing miracles in the church today (1 Cor. 12:9).
2.3. We believe that God uses the prayers of believers to heal the sick (Jas. 5:13-16).
2.4. We believe that God can use medical doctors to accomplish His purposes of healing (e.g. Mat. 9:12). However, it is clear through Scripture that medical doctors are not the primary or only way to health (Jas. 5:13-16).
2.5. We believe God is not averse to medical professionals treating people in acute or sudden life-threatening emergencies (Mat. 9:12).
2.6. We believe certain medications when taken or administered as prescribed toward the recovery of a person from serious illness can be used of the Lord to heal people. However, we believe medications are not the only means to health (Jam. 5:13-16, 1 Tim. 5:23, Prov. 15:13, 17:22, Lu. 10:34) and God’s wisdom should be sought before taking them.
2.7. We believe that God created the human body with the ability to support its systems and defend and resist invasion of harmful germs or chemicals when given proper nutrients. And it is each member’s responsibility to ensure proper intake of food or supplements that provide such proper nutrients (Dan. 1:8, 13).
2.8. We believe God can use medical examinations or procedures to lead medical professionals toward identifying and treating diseases, illnesses, and or bodily damage that would otherwise go unnoticed.
2.9. We believe that each member has the God-given freedom to seek God’s wisdom (Jas. 1:5) decide how he/she seeks health, nutrition, medical intervention, and healing from God. This freedom is demonstrated by God granting Adam the ultimate choice to eat fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil and die or refrain from eating the same fruit and live eternally in fellowship with God (Gen. 2:16-17). It can also be clearly seen in mankind’s individual acceptance or rejection of the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Joh. 1:12, 3:16; Mat. 11:28).
3. Statement on Vaccinations
3.1. We believe God created man in His image with intelligence and a free will (Gen. 2:16-17). As such, every adult with the mental capacity to do so has the right to make informed decisions regarding accepting or refusing any type of vaccination.
3.2. We believe God created parents to perpetually care for those children with diminished mental capacity and or care for their underage children until they reach legal adulthood (Eph. 6:4, Tit. 2:4, 1 Tim. 5:8, Prov. 29:17). As such, every parent has the God-ordained parental right to accept or refuse vaccinations on behalf of their children. When no parent is living, then extended family members beginning with grandparents, uncles, aunts, other next of kin (1 Tim. 5:8), then caretakers are responsible.
3.3. We believe that just as Jesus Christ did not put Himself in harm’s way until His time had
come to fulfill His purpose and the will of the Father (cf. John 11:54, 7:1, 8:59, and Paul in Acts 9:23-25), placing ourselves in danger by intentionally injecting potentially harmful, maiming, cancerous, infertility-causing, or other life-threatening substances into our bodies is contrary to God’s will for the good physical health, procreation, longevity, and quality of life of His people.
3.4. We believe that intentionally injecting metals such as aluminum and or mercury and the like into human bodies is harmful to humans, and as such, is contrary to God’s will for His people to be in good physical health.
3.5. We believe God gives His people the right to refuse any kind of medication, treatment, or injection that is known to cause injury or death. Adverse reactions from vaccinations are known to lead people to creating and contacting organizations such as VAERS (the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System) and the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Fund in the U.S. which confirm the reality of the inherent danger of vaccinations because of the harm befallen adults or their children after receiving vaccinations.
3.6. We believe that injecting intentionally aborted fetal tissue into our bodies is in direct violation of God’s word. The Scriptures show that abortion is killing a child (Ex. 20:13, 21:22-25, Mat. 1:23, Lu. 1:41, 2:5). Therefore, injecting the remains of an intentionally aborted child into our bodies constitutes affirmation of the practice of intentional abortion and is contrary to our beliefs as a church and as a religious faith.
3.7. While not particularly favoring vaccinations, we do see potential benefits. If vaccines are
constituted with non-life-threatening elements they can help stimulate the body’s own resistance mechanisms. However, we believe God has given man a free will beginning in the Garden of Eden with deciding whether to obey God and live or disobey Him and die which culminates in man’s ultimate acceptance or rejection of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The freedom of choice is the most fundamental God-given right any human has. It is therefore not upon any government to infringe upon this right (Rom. 13:4). Furthermore, God has given every human being the opportunity to seek wisdom from Him (Jas. 1:5) that we can know what His will is and what the best course of action to choose is in any medical situation. Therefore, the right to choose is in accordance with God’s design.
3.8. Vaccines or other injections that insert genetically altering chemicals do not conform to the will of God for man; they usurp the power of God over His creation. They, in essence, proclaim God made a mistake when He created man. But we know God is perfect in wisdom and understanding (Psa. 147:5, Isa. 40:28, Jer. 10:12, Rom. 11:33).
4. Statement on Covid-19
4.1. We believe the fear of man is a snare, and that people operating in fear instead of truth and faith open themselves to their own destruction (Prov. 29:25).
4.2. We seek the truth and all truth begins and ends with God and His word (Joh. 17:17, Tit. 1:2). Therefore, we seek only accurate information regarding the reality of this disease and its claimed pervasiveness.
4.3. We believe God breathed the breath of life into man (Gen. 2: 7) and that this breath is sacred. It should not therefore be restricted as it is a sacred connection between God and man.
4.4. We believe God created humans as social creatures (Gen. 2:18); therefore, people need to be with other people, generally speaking, and in church, specifically speaking (1 Cor. 11:18). Thus, the freedom to physically gather in church should not be restricted.
4.5. We believe that governments and leaders are ordained by God (Dan. 4:35-37) to provide freedom and protection from all enemies who would threaten such freedom, as they are meant to be ministers of righteousness (Rom. 13:3-4).
4.6. We believe from the book of Revelation that there will come a time when a world leader will arise and require everyone to receive a mark in their right hand in obedience and worship of the Beast (Rev. 13:16-18). This Beast may be in the form of one person or represent a world system contrary to God. The English word used in the King James Bible is “in” the right hand. Therefore, we believe Covid-19 injections are inherently similar to the grave warnings given in the Bible, and that accepting this “vaccination” would be a possibly irrecoverable danger, as it would put the very soul of the person in eternal spiritual danger. Furthermore, the Greek term for the word “mark” gives indication that this mark could be in the form of a ‘prick,’ a ‘tattoo,’ or an ‘etching.’ And, the Greek term for, “right hand” gives indication this mark could be anything on the right arm.
4.7. We believe God is very much for personal freedom (e.g. Isa. 58:6). Therefore, lock downs, or people being confined to their homes for vague or continually redefined periods of time, represent loss of personal freedom, are not biblical, and are therefore ungodly.
5. Statement Against Forced Injections or Vaccinations
5.1. We believe that members cannot be forced to receive vaccinations of any kind based on our statement of faith and this statement of our beliefs on human health. The Bible is our sacred rule of faith in all matters of life, faith, church practices, physical (temporal) behaviors, and spiritual (eternal) matters. And, each belief mentioned above is founded on biblical principles.
5.2. Requiring a member to receive any vaccination against his or her will is contrary to the teachings of God in the Bible, the doctrine found in the Bible, and our faith.
